I'm looking to keep the stock ride quality and replace from and rear shocks. I've done a bit of research and can not find them. Can anyone help with advice or direction to go?

Check with your local Toyota dealer or wherever you get genuine Toyota parts. They should still be available new from the dealer. At least they were when I bought them for my 1983 HJ47 about a year ago.
Id look at KYB shocks. The black ones in the rear and Gas-a-just in the front. I got them on Amazon and each were made in Japan
