Are you still running my old Bilsteins? Still all good?

Yes I am. For the money it's a great upgrade over stock, thanks for that! I'm running the front's with the spring perch in the middle position, and with the OEM Toyota spacer. It levels the front with a slight stink bug stance, and I'm ok with that. In the rear I have the 80 series OME spacers and Firestone airbags.

For my uses all good.

I have been searching this out for while myself as I will likely upgrade suspension when I replace the factory tires on my 2016. I am leaning towards the Fox 2.5 remote reservior option but the 2.0 also looked ok.
Good Luck

Of the aforementioned Bilstein, BP-51, King, OME, etc., which ones will require rebuild? I had a set of Fox 2.0s on my F-150 and they required disassembly and rebuild in about 30-40k miles. It was a giant hassle. Perhaps the OP, much like myself, don't want the hassle of downtime and rebuilds in what for me would amount to 1.5-2 years of driving.

They all require rebuild. It’s just that some you don’t rebuild, just replace like OEM when they wear out, like the OME and probably Any of the shocks that are welded together fall into this same category. Sure, service may be able to be performed on them, but at what cost vs replacement.

The peformance shocks are generally built in a serviceable nature. Threaded bodies, threaded spring perch, bolt on/thread on top caps and strut mounts. If you are going the performance route, I’d suggest an actual performance item such as Fox, BP51, etc. also keep in mind remote resi, while cool adds complexity. While many people probably love the settings, I’d venture to say most people don’t really make adjustments once they’re set. I’d also venture to say that most people don’t have a full grasp of what the settings are actually doing.

For myself; I wanted 3/4 the performance of the fancy resi or bypass shocks, without the added complexity of mounting brackets, hoses, and additional seals. I chose the Radflo 2.5 IFP extended travel coilovers and matching rear shocks. I will tell you that the ride is amazing! Driving to Northern California from Texas as I write this, and with a full loaded truck, the ride is great. Empty, the truck feels very sporty and flies over stuff that used to cause oscillations all the way down the road. The best part is: I don’t even think my wife noticed the difference in ride quality from stock. FWIW, the wheel droop on the front is significantly more (around 2-3 inches) which ensures ground/wher contact in more conditions, as well as providing motion control over that much more range as well. However, you may need a taller jack.

@Sinister Look at the post yesterday from @Yossarian . He's got my old Bilstein setup but improved upon it. He'd be a great person to speak with. Come drive my truck anytime!

I will definitely be getting something that I can get rebuilt. I have multiple vehicles and can go for 1 to 2 week of down time. Plus rebuild costs on average are about 150 per shock/strut. In long run cheaper than replacing with like quality.
On a side note my old T100 the RS9000 are about done and I am going to some simple Bilsteins this time. I have had them before RS5000 and RS9000. Same thing when next set of tires is due new shocks.

Yeah I read it yesterday and got to the part where he said “I'm running the front's with the spring perch in the middle position, and with the OEM Toyota spacer.” and that was that. Perch, spacers....:meh:

Bilstein 5100, 4600
OME....I H8choices :bang:

I replaced the stock shocks and springs with OME after a week. The improvement is very noticeable: I got rid of the body roll on turns and nose dive when braking. It lifted the front 2" so it now rides level on slightly oversized (285/65) KO2 tires

Did you do the work or a shop? CT is almost impossible to find a mechanic to work on LC
