Does anyone know if the plastic hose bibs on the radiator have a metal reinforcing sleeve in them? I forgot to look when I had mine apart last week. The lower hose has been weeping a little all week after I put it back together so I put a screw-type hose clamp on it but don't want to tighten it too much unless it has an internal reinforcing sleeve.

Donco, not sure about the metal reinforcement so I wouldn’t over tighten it. Instead, cut the small amount off the end of the hose you are trying to reattach and see if this helps.

They have nylon thread in the middle but no sleeve.

Thanks, I gave the lower hose a couple twists back & forth & slid the factory clamp back enough to make room for a screw on clamp and set it snug but not tight & hasn't leaked even a drop for 3 days.
