Hmmm....

I'm assuming this is will be instead of the Windrock trip. Also assuming it's not an STLCA members only club ride. The threat of a bunch of crazy Florida people showing up might scare the hell out of them. We might have to assure them the unruly crazies either stay home and don't wheel anymore or wheel with other groups these days. I'll have company in town and am 50/50 on this. I really want to check out Coalmont. This is a great opportunity to wheel there before it opens to the masses.

I was interested until it said non-stock trails and body damage. I am fully locked on 33's (2.5") lift but not wanting to bash up the new ride. :meh:

So my understanding is that Coalmont is not actually ready for wheeling yet, and we'll just be camping there, the trail ride is at Coppinger Cove, a private property a few minutes down the road. I was told the Cove is "difficult wagon trails, especially if it's wet"

Plan is still formulating but a few of us from Winter Park may be doing a few days at Windrock first, since it's only about two hours away.

laaaaame

Update - a few of us are driving up to Windrock tomorrow and will wheel there 27th-31st and head to Coalmont New Years Eve

Matt, Might be time to consider building that 40 truggy you have on the back burner. Another year of hard wheeling the 62, it's going to look like the Battle Wagon.
You guys need any parts express or assist getting home, let me know.

I know. I’ve been saying I’ll get to it for the last two years. I really do like wheeling the 62 and driving it everywhere but you’re right. I’m just worried that I’ll never want to take it out again after I start hanging out with you big tire guys

The Cove was some awesome wheeling. No one took on any real damage or broke anything during the STLCA ride other then a blown tire bead and a really loaded down 4Runner blew a rear R&P.
Great trails for wagons who don’t mind harder stuff
