With the cost of diesel much higher than regular gas, I was wondering when I should start driving the 40 or 55 more.

Locally, diesel is $4.599 and gas is $3.899. I get 22 mpg in the 60 and est 16 mpg in the 55.

$4.599 / 22 = $.209 per mile
$3.899 / 16 = $.244 per mile

Nice to know the 60 is still less expensive to run.

Diesel will have to be $1.469 more than regular for the fuel cost to be the same.

The 40 still gets the nod when the weather is nice and the 55 will still go off highway.

OK, maybe cheaper is not the word to use with fuel, just less expensive.
