I got this steering wheel from cruiserparts.net and they weren't joking when they warned about the cracking plastic.

So I restored this steering wheel and tried to install it on my '67 and it didn't fit. That's when I learned that there were different steering columns. This is a 33 spline, but it doesn't have the threaded holes that are typically used with a steering wheel puller.

I believe it fits 69-72 FJ40's.

It needs a little more work to be perfect. I made it a lot better than it was, and I was going to install it like this, but you might should plan on spending a couple hours with some primer/putty, sandpaper, and paint.

I ended up restoring my other one and it was in worse shape to begin with.

Here's the process I used on both this steering wheel and my other one.

Open up the cracks with a dremel
rough up any smooth surfaces
JB weld in the cracks.
smooth it out with the dremel
Bondo if needed later
smooth it out/sand
primer/putty if needed
sand
black rustoleum
sand
clear coat
rubbing compound and a rag.

If you want this one to be perfect, I'd recommend starting at the primer/putty step.
About 2-3 hours work. I have about 8 it in already.
