I need to replace the steering stabilizer on my 76 fj40 the previous owner installed an aftermarket one on the lower steering link. Does it make a difference where the steering stabilizer goes, in the stock position connected to the frame and the center arm or to where it is now??
:hmm:
pic is from SOR (what I have now)

Mechanically they're very similar. Asthetically the aftermarket location sucks. :hillbilly:

Hi All:

If you can still use the OE steering stabilizer I'd go that route. Old Man Emu has a beefy SS replacement that uses the OE mounting points.

Alan
