I ordered a new suspension kit and steering dampener to upgrade my truck from the original suspension. I decided to tackle the steering dampener first since I only had a couple of hours today and thought it would be quick. However, I ran into a wall trying to removal it.

See pic. The dampener doesn’t have room to come off the steering linkage. Do I need to remove the tie rod end to drop the linkage down or is there another way?

I‘d hammer a punch up through the bottom. But turn your wheel all the way right and see where it
ends up. Might give you a bit of headroom. Looks like you are barely a couple of millimeters from
it popping out.

Yep! Simply turning my wheel gave me enough room. Thanks!
I bet your motor mounts and or body mounts are going out. You should have an other inch or so there.
