While I was quarantined last September I bought a gear box online that was advertised as factory but turned out to be a mini truck. Luckily I paid what a mini truck box is worth so not exactly a loss. Any ways to the questions

How different is the power steering guts to the manual? And could one transfer the guts of the PS mini truck box into the manual?

I’d prefer not to swap out the gear box mount or vomit cash for a real oem.

What some in your situation do is buy a new, OEM empty PS casting for an FJ40 (still available) and swap in the minitruck PS parts. I presume the minitruck box you got is from a 4x4 truck? You can also buy/make a new pedestal for your minitruck box and do it that way.
