Steel doors on soft door hinges? (1 Viewer)

Any thoughts on hanging metal doors on soft door hinges with the split top half?

Picking up so 74 doors and wasn't sure if it would be an issue mechanically or safety-wise with the heavier door.

It works but mine rattled on my 1968.

With the soft top hinges your doing away with the bushing in the hinge. While it would work besides more rattles would expect more wear. I have switched my 68 between soft and hard doors multible times. I have always switched the hinges that match. I've run both E-74 and 75+ hard doors. Later doors are heavier. I was afraid the extra weight might bend the half top part.
