Im wondering the rig weight about 5500lbs and is it possible...let's say to steal and tow the 80-Series while in P-(Park Positions).

Actually, just 4 bolts, twice, and wire up the hanging end of the shafts.

drag it 10 feet or so onto a flat bed. Strap it up and roll out. Not that tough.

    If it's wanted...it'll be taken.

If you're really worried about it...chain it up. I used to know a guy who missed a few payments on his Nissan truck -- he thought the repo guys were tailing him...So every time he parked it he chained it up to something "solid", like a lamp post (he used a HUGE chain attached to the front bumper). One time he skipped that step...he came out of the post office...the truck was gone :D

I get the feeling someone has a repo man after him ;)

FWIW, if the repo man can not read the VIN # or the lic plate #( might be just the VIN)......he can't legaly take it.

It sure does sound like you have a repo after you. If yes, I hope he takes it away from you ASAP!

If illegal theft is the concern there isnt a whole lot you can do.

Had the repo man come for my rig when I was 19. I was makin diddly working 2 jobs, had a vehicle payment, rent, demanding party schedule, a GF with champaign taste and I was way late. Nice guy, let me call the bank and make arrangements to keep the vehicle. Luckily it was clean and well cared for. He said he had strict instructions to take it if was in rough shape.

Pretty sad to screw up your credit over a....

    CJ7  :D

80 series owners tend to very defensive over their rigs, and probably not the type of owner you would want to confront if caught trying to steal.
