I have been eyeballing those for a while now.

I want one! Not necessarily for the 3D Occulus glasses, but for a record of a trail? Imagine one on a short post just over the driver.

This site is French ... but since they aren't shipping yet ... the concept is just too cool to ignore.

I got a GoPro for xmas. I am still working on mounting it as close as possible for the driver's view point. After the video http://youtu.be/ukDkTXrjLws that my daughter shot on her I-phone for the Roller Coaster trail, I am anxious to see what I can do with it. Darn thing didn't come with any memory, so I had to go shopping for some big MicroSD cards. Got a 16 and a 32 pretty cheap. I'm working on a right shoulder mount. John

What about a suction mount on the DS?
I want it back far enough that you can see the steering wheel and dash, maybe even the shifters. I know my GPS unit showed up in my daughter's video, and several folks were asking me about that.

Oh, I was thinking outside the vehicle, maybe figure out a way to attach to the dome light.

I found a cheap GPS suction mount for my Sony Action cam, mounts at mirror level, and with 170 degree FoV, sees most anything I want to see. But a 360 degree camera, for recording a trip means not having to say you're sorry for missing something out a side window.

Nice thing about the Sony is $129 for 1080/60p - limited to 1920x1080 interval stills tho.
