Staples used to re-attach/stretch door panel vinyl

I’ve measured the thickness of the backing board and I think the 1/4”/6mm T50 staples are too long for this application.

What has worked to reattach/secure the door panel material to the backer for others?

That's what I used; that and double sided 3M tape.

Post 8 shows why they aren't a problem.

re-upholstery of upper panel

I stole that image from another post. the upper pad is all apart on my dining room table, it was attached with 1mm long staples, little tiny short bastids. Any idea where to get these little devils? I've looked up all manner of staples and the shortest I can find are 1/4" (6mm).
