Nearly every morning on my way to work my 80 stalls in the same spot.

I'll be driving and all of a sudden the car will slow down like it's about to die. I push the gas but nothing happens.

It proceeds to drive very slowly like this for 10-30 seconds then snaps out of it and is normal again for the rest of the day.

Any thoughts on what the cause of this is? Is the engine just cold?

Have you gotten it wet recently. I had the same problem. Take the TPS connector apart and blow it out. Fixed my issue.

I haven't gotten it wet, however, there is water in the muffler. I've had two mechanics look at it and they both don't know how it got there but both also say that it's not problematic. I think this may have something to do with it though.

So two mechanics don't know how water got in your exhaust? Are you sure they no how a engine works? Why don't you fix the known issues before going down the rabbit hole
