As far as back gassing the weld, I worry about alot of different things, but the internal appearance of my exhaust pipes is not one of them. Especially for a migged slip joint between the tubes.

From the pictures, I think it looks great.

That's only 2 lbs. of .30 wire. I'm using .35 & my spool weighs 30 lbs.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you buy so much wire? I am guessing you didn't need it for the exhaust? Other projects in the works???

That's the smallest spool my welding shop carried (Airgas). I bought it mainly for the exhaust on all my LC's. And, I didn't want to keep carrying my exhaust back & forth measuring, cutting, measuring, etc. to Gordofab Engineering....

BTW, if you think that's allota wire, this is a 50 lb spool of regular mig .35 wire almost gone. My second spool since this buildup started back in '03:

.035 does'nt go very far.

i have a machine setup at the shop with .052 dual shield, and it's not uncommon to see 1/16th on it. at peak times i'll burn through said spool in a day
