Anyone know how thick to make the aluminum block spacers for a 92 fj80 front stabilizer bar with 4 inch springs? I have 3/4 inch now, and I am wondering if that will be a problem. Thanx in advance, L.B.

It's not the springs that dictate the spacer thickness, but the shocks. Longer shocks (on droop) will allow contact between the bar and the prop shaft.

So, how much longer are your shocks (open) versus the stock shocks?

cheers,
george.

Not scientific by any means, but I have the same lift and run a 2" piece of square tubing (.25"). It levels the bar out just fine.

I think once you take the sway bar off, you wont worry about putting it back on.
Otherwise, it depends how much longer your new shocks are. You just need to lift the front of the car up, so the front axle is at full drop and check that the sway bar clears the front tail shaft.

Matt
