My target is for a 33/10.50R17 or a 33/10.50R16 (assuming the TRD SE wheels will fit on an 80 series). I want to get at least 33" but no more than 35", but have to keep it kinda skinny 265 to 275 to keep the spare tire tucked nicely under the rig. I looked at the 255/80R17 BFG K2's & they just look too skinny to me. The SS M16 makes both a 33/10.5r16 & an 33/10.5r17. I agree the bullets on the side are cheesy, but I can't seem to find another acceptable tire size that matches my needs. Trail Grappler look awesome, but that would be 295 wide, so they are out. I will listen if someone has another solution. My eyes are bloodshot & I am really getting sick of looking. I don't want to settle & my tires have got to be replaced within the next month. I've looked at BFG, Procomp, Interco, Mickey's, Goodyear, Cooper, etc. Am I missing something. Am I the only one that goes completely mad when it is time to change tires?

Look at the tire specs......

285/75/16 with many manufactures is a narrower tire than the SS M16 at 11.4.

I have seen many of those tires not last 15k miles.

If you are going to 17 look at 285/75/17 only Nitto and Toyo make in that size but it is a 34/11

Im sure I missed some other thread, but what is your location, what do you want to wheel, conditions, etc?

Skip the Toyo IMO. Heard good things about the Nitto's.

Get the Trxus MT in a 285/75/16. Tread width is 8.3".

Best all around tire you can buy.

How about these...you just have to step up a little in size.:flipoff2:

What's with the air fresheners on the rear grab handle, you don't like the new tire smell?

Holy crap I forgot those were back there. Been there for a couple years. Had a package of hot dogs marinate for a month in the back and stunk like hell. I finally found them, I put them there to get rid of the smell:doh:

NC. Mostly street. Occassional offroad. I am tempted to go back to 16's (especially if the TRD SE wheels will fit), run Trxus MT 34/12.50r16, & Interco Narrow 34/12.50r16 as a spare under vehicle. At this moment this seems like the best choice for what I want. Thanks for everyone's input. Keep the ideas coming. I haven't bought tires yet.
