I replaced my exhaust system last year to Stainless 2.5" (well, except for the rear section, which was in excellent shape). Put on a Magnaflow 12246 (straight through - no offset, which is what the installer requested - in hindsight, probably to make life easier for him), which has proven to be a little too noisy for my taste. From the flex pipe to the Magnaflow is just pipe, and then from the back of the Magnaflow it connects to original pipe, to the small muffler/resonator? in the back then the tailpipe.

I added soundproofing in the cargo area but it's still too noisy to be comfortable on long highway runs and I want to quiet things down a bit. Do I need to add a resonator in there? If so, where should it go? In front of the Magnaflow? Thanks.
