Spring tension gage

    Can anyone tell me where to purchase a spring tension gage. It's used to set the preload of the front whell bearings. Many thanks .

    Walmart carries them too, in the fishing department.

    They don't have to be super-accurately calibrated, especially if you set the tention towards the middle of the accepted values.

    When Tim and I did the steering knuckle rebuild DVD I had my fancy Chatillon gauge and he had an LED readout Berkley fish scale. They both gave the about same readouts, but his was likely cheaper. But if you want the real McCoy:
