I have a set of lift springs for an FJ40. These where given to me by a kind gentlmen. Two of the spring packs are a little more arched than the other. My question is-do the set with more arch go in the front or back. I would think the front because of the weight of the engine and tranny but I thought I saw a write up saying the more arched pair go in the rear.

if you know who made the springs you can check the markings and consult with the manufacturer. if not you can just take the old springs off the truck and compare.

Yeah I thought about taking the old packs off first and then comparing but I only have enough jack stands to support one end of the vehicle and one axle at a time. I figure the spring packs with more arch go up front. I will look for markings...

the springs with more arc go in the back . The frame is raised abve the front therefore the need of more height out of he springs in the back.

ahhh...I see. Thank you very much. Saved me a lot of time!
