Spotted a FZJ80 Poverty Pack

I was dropping my son off at summer camp in North Carolina and this was in the parking lot. No sunroof, cloth seats, no 3rd row and no sliding rear windows. The exterior was black and the interior was blue. I have never seen another Land Cruiser like this.

The owner mentioned that it had an aux. fuel tank. She gets offers to buy it all the time, but no one mentioned to her that it was a rare Land Cruiser.

A true povo pack would have no flares, no power windows, steel split rim, be part time 4x4 and have barn doors too. These versions weren't available in NA afaik. This might just be a low spec US model.

It might be a grey market and came over from Europe or SA then registered in the states unknowingly to a customs or DMV of any differences.

No sunroof would be a luxury at this point in time! I was reminded of this when I went through a carwash yesterday and the high pressure rinse woke me up.
