At least here in Japan people who buy Recaro's usually end up buying something like these that go below the seats: attaching pics of the ones for the 80 (lower-than-usual-position base) and 100.
They have genuine Recaro and aftermarket ones here as well.

Its not matter of which or what seats available.The most important thing you need to get the seat bracket first as those pics above->the rest just easy.Willadeursalladeur said:

The problem is that most stores/vendors here prefer only dealing with people who speak Japanese and most of them don't ship overseas.
I "think" most Recaro seats can be fitted in the 80, except I've read where some models with built-in armrest had interfered(sp) with the door upon closing.
However, I'm not sure which model yours is and have no way of verifying whether the seat base would be identical/perfect match or not.
I now realize you are in South Africa, but are there no authorized Recaro dealers in your neck of the wood? You might want to try Recaro's site in Germany, or better yet, in the U.K. since they have both the Euro models, as well as fair number of Jap. imports (again, rhd/lhd thing "might" come into play, depending on whether they are using the same seat rail/base or not).
I have seen few re-imported Cruisers from foreign countries, but they are usually from down under or the US. So I am afraid that asking a dealer here would not yield any fruitful results.
I'm sorry that I cannot be any of assistance.
But if you do find out that there is no difference between the rhd/lhd Cruisers in terms of seat rail/base AND cannot obtain any cheaper, closer to you, then let me know. I would be willing to help you.

A little off track but someone somewhere on this board has Lexus ES 300 seat(s) in their 80, according to their sig line. I don't know who. I had an ES 300 a long time ago and the seats were very confortable, supportive. I've broken my back before so seats are important to me.
