Split tailgate will fit what years??? (1 Viewer)

I am looking for a tailgate and would like to know if the split doors of the early 40's would fit a 1980 fj40.

I think that is a standard opening out back. I bought some swing out doors for my 76 fj40, they line up fine, and I think all the amby doors are the same for all years which make me believe the swing out doors would line up fine for all the years.

Anyone?

there is a different lip on the tub/sill for the ambi doors....all things 'fit' with modification, ha ha
