Speedometer cable connection (1 Viewer)

So time for some new bulbs on the speedo display on my ‘76. Does the speedometer cable at the back of the cluster screw in or clip in? Just wondering how many bananas this adventure will be. Thanks

It’s a clip. The hardest part is getting your hand back there.

One banana. Disconnect your battery first. Cluster won’t come out very far without the cable being disconnected but it pulls straight out the back. I think there’s a clip but it was missing on mine.

And be careful the little metal tabs on the bottom of the cluster will scratch the dash up pretty easily

^^cut them guys down when you have it out.....makes this job much easier in the future after doing so.

And don't forget to disconnect you battery so you don't short anything out
