Speedometer cable broken (1 Viewer)

The speedometer cable broke on my 1989 fj62 last night. I have been searching online and found part number 93710-90A20 that looks like it is the right thing. Can anyone confirm if this is the right part? Has anyone installed a new speedometer cable? I found a few other posts on here but never found a writeup on the actual install or part number. seems pretty straight forward.

I also found this Speedo Cable suitable for Landcruiser 60 Series Wagon 1981 to 1989 and this Toyota 83710-90A20 (8371090A20) CABLE - Amayama wondering if those are worth the wait/shipping cost.

are you sure it is the cable and not the drive gear in the transfer case?

Yeah, I unscrewed the cable from the transfer case and found the cable severed.

fairly easy replacement, remove guage cluster, un-clip old speedo cable from speedo.
follow same routing for replacement cable, paying attention to clearance near exhaust

Beware of using a 60 cable. I bought a used one from a 87 and it was too short. Wondering why they put from 81-89? So I just repaired mine with crimps and jb weld. Been 3 years still going on my 1990. Good luck

I emailed the Australian company and the verified it will not work on the US spec FJ62. I ended up ordering part 83710-90A20 from Amayama in Japan, even with shipping is was much less then anything I could find in the USA.
