Speed Sensor for 1991 FJ80 (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know where I can find a part number for a speed sensor for my 1991? How about where to buy and what to pay? My local dealer told me I needed to bring it in because he wasn't sure.

I assume you are looking for the cruise sensor that is located in line with the speedometer cable, down at the transfer case?

If so, that is an 88261-60010. Suggested list price $122.01

My issue is my cruise control used to work part time. It would sometimes work and sometimes not. Sometimes it would just quit on its own. Now it doesn't work at all.

The group on cruizers.net said this would be a speed sensor and that it would be located in the tranny.

My local dealer said he would need to look at it to tell me where it was or what part number it needed.

That's why I came here.

Are we still on the right track?
