I have been thinking about how to get something better than my bluetooth headset for sound when driving, something that works well for directions, audiobook, or music. Since Amazon was having a sale, on a whim, I decided to try this bluetooth speaker and try to fit it in the radio slot. I really dont listen to the radio much, and the few times I do will be via my phone anyway, so don't have a need for a true radio. This speaker fits nicesly and the rubber outer skin grabs well to the metal. It is IPX7 for water immersion, and has a 24hr playing capacity. Tested it in a short drive and it works extremely well.

I am planning to print a plastic sleeve or pocket that will hold the speaker, and to fully fill the space later. Need to bribe my son to do that. The power plug is the black one in the picture so it could stay connected all the time.

This is the actual speaker link;
