have any of you guys replaced the fabric that covers the speakers? the ones in my 98 are dirty and im looking to get new ones. in fact, i was wondering if they made metal grill inserts ratehr than the cheap fabric ones? the dealer wants $45 for one cover. im sure i can get a custom grill made for that price. any suggestions short of getting them custom? thanks.

along these lines, the ones in the front doors of ours look terrible.
Tried to clean them once with minimal success but didn't go all out without knowing more about speaker material etc.
Anybody did find a good and safe way to clean them up?
sorry about sidetrack.

I have some thin, stretchy "leopard" patterned fabric that I am about to put on. But, I have not been able to get the rear (third row) speaker out.
Does one need to remove the entire interior panel for that one, or does the speaker sort of clip out on its own?

Any "interior" advice (as well as when it comes to any hidden tricks for the door panels) are appreciated!

I have a feeling this will make it into the FAQ section - mine are all tore up in the cargo area - nice place for speaker covers eh? - next to the cargo - shows those engineers are human.

i GOT A ROLL OF MATCHING FABRIC AND SOME ADHESIVE SPRAY OFF EBAY FOR LIKE $15 SHIPPED. I haven't got around to replacing yet, still deciding on wether to replace the speakers too, they sound terrible. I think the fabric is the best way to go though.

Yeah...my fronts are ripped up from exiting with my big freak'n hunting/hiking boots . My XC70 has speakers in the same basic location...but they are formed metal and still look like new after 4-years of use. It sure would be nice if someone offered a better fix than fabric...but doubtful at best.
