Spare Tire Carrier Question (1 Viewer)

Does a 1978 fj 40 spare tire carrier mount on a 1974 fj40 (w rear amb doors and hinges for spare mounted on pass side) Thanks What retros will I have / may need to do?

i believe a 78 is mounted on the drivers side

74 is on the right while the 78 is on the left. The body doesn't have the stiffeners in place to do the swap. If you add them yourself it would work. Otherwise it will rip out the sheetmetal.
