Spare Tire Carrier moved to left side?

Apologies in advance, but I really tried to find this before asking...I found the carrier gusseting (1973), the switch to ambulance doors (1975), and the switch to tubular frame (09/76), but I can't find the year the carrier was moved to the driver's side...

The carrier switch on the left side in the US with the ambulance doors.

The global rule is:
- hatch configuration -> carrier on passenger side (so switching side depending of driving side)
- Ambulance doors -> carrier on the left (they did not bother having 2 versions of these doors)

1975 Flat Panel tire carrier switched to Drivers Side in U.S. FJ40 and only went one more year into 1976.

Tube Carrier was 1977 Drivers Side, but some late 1976 models might have it.

75s had them on the right and left side depending if hard or canvas top.
