Sort of Dumb Cooling Fan Question (1 Viewer)

Converting my dual Spal cooling fans back to the OEM setup. WAY too noisy! When I removed all of the OEM cooling components I had no reason to pay attention to and or mark correct orientation and it was 7 months ago. Now I am putting the cooling fan back in and a question arose. I am "almost" certain that fan goes in with the deep part of fan mount toward the engine. The shallow flange towards the radiator. I am correct or do I need to turn my brain in a 180?

Since putting the OEM setup back in with Ron Davis radiator is a bit of a pain with clearances.. I don't want be wrong and have to start all over. Eyeball assistance will be appreciated!

Thank you @Atomic City.. you are the MAN! I was pretty confident that I had it correct and looking in the FSM (drawings) gave me a positive impression. I love the RD radiator.. just not the SPAL fans. An expensive lesson.
