While doing some research on re-plating some of my parts for my "restoration", I happened upon this site where a guy is restoring his 1963 Jaguar XKE FHC.

If you are interested in the basic processes of restoration like tear down, painting, re-plating, powder coating and some of the challanges asscociated in rebuilding your car/truck in your garage, I suggest giving this website a going over. Well documented and interesting read.

This is one patient dude.

Been following the thread! Like staring at a fire or watching Norm on the New Yankee Workshop. Increadible.

The Jag site has some great info if you are gonna do some diy plating or powdercoating.

trekker-I almost called foul 'cause that looked like a link to the Ultimate thread. Definitely some things that you can learn from this site. Just think about how long it must have taken to actually do the site itself!
