so what "classic" songs that will never go out of radio rotation do you hear all the time and may even have liked oince but now have come to really dislike? the ones that just make your teeth grate? I'm going to say:

    born to run by springstein
light my fire by the doors
    sunday bloody sunday U2

Also there is a sub-category of song late in an artist's creative career arc that sucked from the outset and totally sold out the artist but became a big mainstream hit so now they just keep playing it. Two nominees:

dancing in the dark by springstein
    jump by van halen

up here in canada we have canadian content rules that force radio stations to play a certain number of canadian songs an hour. as a result they keep alive some songs that might be ok if you dind't hear them twice a day and also play some totally overrated flash in the stuff way too much:

american woman by the guess who
    ironic by alanis morissette
anything by shania twain but especially man I feel like a woman

Anything by Aerosmith or the Rolling Stones. They were good the first 1,000,000,000 times...

I turn the station when I hear Steve Miller and Pink Floyd. The good news is, I have Sirius so there is plenty of choices.

    Let's see here...
Duran Duran - Duran is like Aloha, can work as a greeting and a exit...so they came, and then exited... :D

Spangay Ballet - Anything with the word "ballet" in it should be banned from the airwaves, simple as that.

Boy George - Here do you want a napkin you have a bit of gay on your shirt.

Platinum Blonde - The only platinum blondes I want to see or hear from, no actually just see, never hear from are in Playboy.

Berlin - The Berlin wall came down atleast a week or two ago, sadly the band Berlin was where the wall fell.

A Flock of Seagulls - were shot down today by crazed hunters...bummer for the seagulls.

Frankie Goes to Hollywood - turned gay and changed his name to Boy George.

George Michaels - aka Boy George.

    :D

you're just listening to the wrong stations... 91.3 and 107.7 play some original stuff, a little younger than what you've posted up though. cd's are your friend :)
