something bad just happened, MUD is broken (1 Viewer)

It takes five full minutes to load any page of MUD right now and it looks like this:

It appears to me hanging on "forumcdn.ih8mud.com"

woody did you add a new server or something?

Forum Runner works fine on my phone, so I suspect it's the image server that is hanging...

Same thing happened to me yesterday afternoon. I let it sit for a few minutes and then refreshed and things went back to normal.

It's been two hours. Two different computers. Restarted, no change.

it is fixed this morning. Perhaps it was just a DNS glitch.

the CDN service that 'MUD uses to serve many of the images did some upgrades yesterday, adding a new data center. Possible that their system created a short term glitch.

A CDN is used so many of the common images are served relatively locally rather than from the main location...speeds page load times and removes load off the primary server.

Was probably just a DNS distribution delay for the new data center. From this end it's hard to tell if that's the problem or some new service is actually failing.

Everything is loading super fast this morning.

the CDN transfers almost 4GB of data daily in avatars, javascript/CSS files, etc...with close to 1.5 million daily hits
