Some 60 series pictures for you guys.

You'll like these mini monsters guys. These three are HJ61's

these are nice 61/62's

But guys imagine them with 80 series axels and 3 diffs, big brakes and coil suspension and the result is they are more capable offroad, safer on the roads, more comfortable with better road holding and the same style.

dan, those roofs were availible on certain LCs and i think if you look hard enough you can find one off a rusted out cruiser to integrate on your 60 series....if you can weld

This is how i want my HJ61 to look, when i find one but i live in England and is quite difficult.I replied to this thread again so you guys can enjoy the photos or get ideas from them.

61's

I too have a "crush" on the Sahara 61. So much so, I might be willing to give up my non-Toyota toy to sit in the right seat and see if I am coordinated enough to handle a RHD turbo-diesel chock full of the many features we never received in the States. I guess we'll just have to call the Wizard of Oz. I'm sure he knows where there are plenty of them.:)

Hi Norris, i know where to get the 61's, i am just trying to find an older one with the round headlights and i suppose what you might call the retro style dashboard. Also keen on finding the right colour and one with cable lockers too.

Sahara61 - Do you have larger pictures?

Thanks.

Sorry Klinetime574 i don't have larger photos, that was how they were on a website i found.

Nathan

thanks for the quick reply sahara!

If i could remember the website, i would give you the link because they modify loads of these L/C's and other makes of 4x4's.The trouble is the website is from Japan and i am having trouble finding it.

I just posted on a U.K. Subaru forum where they obviously drive Subarus and also drive tarted up 4x4 lookalikes e.g. Range Rover, X5, X3, Audi Q7 etc and just waiting to see what the reaction is to my thread ha ha.I have written "forget bling wheels, chip tuning and bodykits etc try a real 4x4" and pasted this link.

A) the super-tall 60 isn't my thing. I prefer a little more function, a little less form
B) 80 drivetrain under a 60 would be fun, seems better to simply put a 60 body on an 80 frame
C) posting a bunch of cruisers on a Subaru forum? Why bother? Subaru makes great vehicles.

But guys imagine them with 80 series axels and 3 diffs, big brakes and coil suspension and the result is they are more capable offroad, safer on the roads, more comfortable with better road holding and the same style.

Being too tall seems to negate all three claims for more capable, safer, and better road holding. If they were lower to the ground they'd probably perform better for all around use. I like the big meats, just too tall.
