When you have an 80, go to SAS, and want both a 60 and a 40 when you get home.
My boyz want a 60 now and I want axles off an 80 for my 100 oh and a 1978 FJ45!! 🤪

40s are the best, but a 60 would be a much better starter rig.

There is an 80 sitting behind a gate off of a dirt road near my place. I've been trying to get the owner to call me back. I'll let you know if I get an amazing deal on it. I would sell the axles.

I'll tell ya though, 80 axles under a 40 is a pain. Cleaning the housings sucks.

I can only imagine. I've never seen that done.

There are several rigs around with em. Mike with the blue 40 VW swapped was on 80 axles. Dont remember his username though.

wow!! I want them for my 100, should be easier... Thanks @TN80 for the offer... I’m very interested!

Alrighty, @DangerNoodle and his sister, Aliah, (both 19yo I must say) driving up Imogene and hitting the shelf with no worries! We asked DJ if he wanted to drive for Aliah but she was already on her way! She kicked booty all the way up the pass!

Repping SAS at the Rubicon. This picture was taken about 20 minutes before the rear locker excited the axle housing, half way down the trail. Got that “fixed” enough to make it through. Finished this morning. Put in fresh 3.70 open third in the Loon lake staging area and took a bath in the lake.
This trail is no joke. Truck is hammered.

Thanks to @pardion for bringing me a diff so I can make it home. Not looking forwards to that 3000 miles drive home :(

Hell yeah Matt!!

You really did a number on that diff! Glad to hear you got it sorted and are up and rolling again.

So you're the one lol. I'm still very much dragging and wanting to be back in the dusty hills.

Not sure if I’m “easing,” or “refusing” to get back to normal life.

Word! This time last week we were taking in the views on Black Bear. 😩
