We bought this two years ago from RustyNail Justin in Klamath Falls, Or. It's been a good vehicle, but has needed some repairs along the way. All work has been done by Gary at Mudrak's Custom Cruisers in Sonoma.

New EGR ($240), O2 sensor ($240) and Steering Pump ($350) and hose ($150). Aug 2012

New Toyota Radiator ($450) July 2013

The full ad is on Craigslist http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/4701289300.html

It has minor damage to front bumper, driver fender, flare and rear bumper. All of the other sheet metal is good. The clear coat is peeling, but there is no rust. It is equipped with factory Locking Differentials.

It has good Michelin Tires, Electric Adjustable Driver and Passenger Grey Leather seats that show normal wear, and are not torn. It has the factory roof rack.

It is currently in Sonoma at Mudrak's. Rather than paying to repair it, she decided to sell it. we're asking $2500 obo.

VIN = JT3DJ81WXR0068971

What is the diagnosis on the engine? In need of a complete rebuild or just a head gasket? Any other issues?
Currently, there has only been a visual inspection. The motor turned freely when we had it towed to Mudrak's. His visual inspection was that there was a coolant leak, and that it needed to be torn down. Most likely culprit is head gasket, and given the number of FZJ80s that he's worked on, he's fairly confident that is what is wrong. We decided that there was no sense in paying Gary to tear it down as she can't afford to repair it.

As far as other issues go, she has had intermittent problems with the passenger seat moving forward/backward. All of the emissions were working great, and most of it has been replaced. It didn't burn oil and had good compression... Emphasis on had...

Hope that helps
