Okay, final deal and then it goes to fleabay or I’ll part it out. I’m swapping the rims to FJCruiser 17’s and removing the rack and awning. First $10k cash takes it as is, where is! There’s $16k min just in accessories and the manual transmission conversion!

Changing things up again and selling our 80...Here's a basic list.

  • 1992 Land Cruiser 80 with 3FE with approx 260k on the clock
  • 2016 Installed a brand new manual 5 speed Toyota H55 transmission. As well as the fully rebuilt large bearing split case with the 4:1 low range gear modification done by Valley Hybrids.
  • Twin stick setup
  • Has a clutch assembly out of a Aussie 80 series.
  • ARB Deluxe front bumper (kinda rare) and will fit an 8274 upright winch without modification unlike the standard ARB
  • 4X4 labs rear bumper with duel swing outs. Driver swing out build to handle 3 Scepter cans.
  • Prinsu roof rack
  • I think it has a 6” OME lift
  • 37” KM3’s with only about 2,000 miles on them x 5
  • New Tandem Off-road 17” bronze wheels x 5
  • Custom extra fuel tank in rear out of a Cherokee Laredo and if you supply 12v to the wires at the rear bumper the internal pump will pump the fuel out. Just put the hose in the main tank, Jerry can, or whatever you are trying to refuel.
  • Asian locking hub conversion.
  • Lunch box locker in the front
  • Just installed a new rear third from a stock 80 with only 150k on it.
  • Safari snorkel
  • Fox Wing 270 awning
  • Full floater rear conversion with disk brakes.
  • Upgraded front axle shafts to RCV’s.
  • Front trailing arms are stock with caster correction.
  • Upgraded brake pads
  • Drawers in the rear.
  • Custom sliders
  • Air bags in the rear.
  • Brake controller wired in.
  • Spare new starter, alternator, belts, water pump and various other parts.
  • Recently installed a new brake booster.
  • Recently had the rear drive shaft balanced and the u-joints replaced.
  • Just took apart and cleaned out the condenser and had the system recharged.
  • Got back in August from driving it to Ouray from Texas pulling a 16’ popup camper and it did surprising well considering all the mountains.
  • The only thing not included is the recovery gear, jack and winch.
The BAD:
A/C switch for the fan is going out and sometimes it won't kick on high...Just needs a replacement.
The oil pressure switch wire broke at the sensor...I will reattach.
*FIXED* After we put in the "new" rear third, the driver outer axle seal didn't seal...I will fix that.
There are various oil leaks that one could expect to see.

I am not hiding anything, if it's not listed it is because I forgot. This is a overly built 80 that was built by a MUD member to take to Alaska, which he did twice. I will take better pics once I wash it and post up. Asking $14k obo and I am motivated to sell as I have plans in the works, so make an offer.

Smokin’ deal.

Bumpity for an offer...:steer:

Reduced to $12,500! There’s $11,500 just in rims, tires and the manual transmission conversion!

Nice rig!

The 4.10s/H55/3FE/37”s must be just right if you towed a camper with it?
Would you say so?
Was it driven to AK on 37”s?

Thanks

So yes it’s a great setup and does great towing.... HOWEVER it’s still ZERO fun towing in the mountains where it becomes a turd, but on flat-ish land there are zero issues and I can do 70+. The PO put 37’s on it and I drove it from Ark. like that. I put new 37’s on and drove it from Texas to Colorado and back. It’s a super sweet rig in all seriousness, it’s just not for me to keep right now.

I was asked if there’s rust. No would be my answer, but I’ve never removed panels, etc. That said here are some under carriage pics. What you see is Texas clay/mud and not rust.
