:princess: wants to be able to cruise with the top off. I don't want to do it without being able to (for the most part) seal out the rain and such, so I'm going to need a full soft top.

What's a good option for an easily convertable soft top, bows, and doors? Which ones should I avoid?

I love the eshan tops, but it doesn't look like it's too easy to drop the top when it's nice out.

Thanks!

Best Top / Eshan

Theres only two options and neither are easily removed :frown:

theres allways the bestop super top...it folds back like a jeep top. Or you can just roll up the sides. Thats the top im going with

I had one custom made. Something similar to the bestop. I made the bows myself & finished, it cost me about $600 less

the problem with those tops is that it makes your Land Cruiser look like a jeep. Truly the only top i would put on a 40 is the OEM style. Yes it is a PITA to take entirely off but you can roll up the sides and back windows for plenty of airflow and if you HAD to take it off i would take you about 10 minutes..

here is a s***ty picture of mine...

Coolerman...i would bet the bows are sortof like a bestop...but...the rear bow pushes out further...the mid bow stands straight up and the door bow is the shape and style of bestop.

great looking top...need more pics :)

i definantly like the OEM style top better, but for me having the ability to fold it up like a jeep top makes it worth it to me for the 2-3 months the soft top will be on

there's just something kewl about the ehsan tops with the 3 ridges up top, make's it look more military indiana jones like! :D but true, it does change the whole look of the 40. too much $$ for me tho. :bang:

I've got a supertop. Is it ugly? damn straight. Does the paki-top kick ass? Sure. But after spending a couple months running out throwing a tarp over my truck in the rain, driving down the highway in the rain with just the bikini, etc, I was glad to spend just $500 to get the soft top. Last summer when some jackass took his pocket knife to my soft top (while the doors were unlocked), I was glad I hadn't invested the money in Eshan's top. I also don't feel bad folding it up and throwing it in the shed for the winter.

When my ship comes in and I get myself a garage, I'll probably go with Eshan's top.

I went on the internet. Spent 30 min searching for the best price. Found a good deal on a Supertop with doors and free shipping. 4 days later I had it in hand. Spent about 2 hrs mounting it. Spent the past 3 years enjoying a top that only takes 5 minutes (tops) to take the doors off and put the top down with nothing left sticking up that would get caught on branches, trees, rocks, or people. I haven't had to treat it or fold it. I go to the car wash and pressure wash it. When I do manage to tear it I pull out the 10 dollar repair kit and within an hr it looks new from the outside. I could really care less what others think of how it looks. Because it is the single most used item I have bought on my vehicle.

Supertops rock. If they could make one that had the look of an OEM top but the functionality of the Supertop design. They would pretty much corner the market. Not that they haven't already with the Supertop.
