Newbie guy that's been lurking the past few months.

The search for a clean 93-97 80 series is on. The more local the better, but would travel up to SF bay or AZ for the right one. Hope to find something in very good condition that's turn-key. Not a lot of time to invest with work and 3 kids up my wazooo.
Rig would be a daily, and the camping/trail ride. No serious rock traversing going down. Not picky on color. Been a Toyota truck family since 1988.

meticulous maintenance and records
excellent mechanical condition
rear locked (for resale value), but not a must have
good paint
rust free
clean interior
clear title
clean AutoCheck/CARFAX

Such a great forum. Guidance and opinions have been shared generously with this rookie. The archives are an incredible resource if you dig in and belly up.

My rig is probably more than you're looking for, I just decided to sell my locked 1994. It has 219K miles, but engine was rebuilt last year by a reputable local machine shop and has about 12K since. Interior is very clean and I have cloth manual seats and the original leather seats. Two inch Dobinson lift installed last year. New radiator, windshield, PS pump, etc. Needs paint.

While I live in SW Colorado, I would be delighted to deliver this to Carlsbad (lived in Encinitas for a number of years).

Opens up the potential field to more of a weekend warrior 80.

I’ve got a 94 I’m planning on selling soon. 213k and all Leaks fixed On the motor. No lockers. It’s got an Icon lift and 37s but I can put 35s if that’s important. Looking for $9k. I was planning on fabbing front and rear bumpers, but you can buy those. If I do it’ll cost more.
