1994 Toyota Land Cruiser - FZJ80
**CLOSING TODAY**

This was the near perfect baseline cruiser when it was sold to me: California sold and raised (with dealer documentation - even an unsigned warranty card), rare Medium Red Pearl with Gold trim package, Center Diff Locker, NO FACTORY ROOF RACK, and LOW MILES. The intention was to bring the car back to 110% - Toyota factory spec and then some. The restoration has been long and precise, and has been done with OEM Toyota Parts wherever possible (all the way down to the wiper arms). Garage kept since the restoration, and comes with service records/receipts for everything done!

Overview: FULL RESTORATION! California car with NEW Engine / Paint / Suspension / AC / Interior & more

Details below ↓

Full Engine Rebuild (1FZ-FE) - Using all Toyota OEM parts
Work done by CruiserTech in Laguna Hills, CA - Under 1,000 miles since rebuild

Including:
- Machined crank
- Machined head and valve adjustment
- Piston rings
- Main/Rod bearings
- Engine oil pump
- Power steering pump
- Front and rear main seal
- Head gasket and engine gaskets
- Timing chain and tensioner
- New spark plugs, belts, hoses, etc.
Also NEW cooling and AC system:
- Water pump
- Thermostat
- Radiator
- AC Compressor / dryer

Other mechanical work:
- Birfield seals replaced / wheel bearing replaced (by K&H Imports - LA Based Land Cruiser specialist)
- Front brake rotors replaced
- Transfer case output seal replaced
This cruiser is NOT triple locked - but the diffs are in perfect shape to accept lockers, gears, and upgrade as you’d like

NEW Old Man Emu (OME) Suspension - 2.5” lift
- This included springs, shocks and steering stabilizer.
- Caster correction bushings are included but not installed. I intended to install the caster bushings, but I actually love how it drives compared to my other 80 that has caster correction.
It can do 80 mph on the freeway confidently

NEW Paint - Medium Red Pearl (3H4)
The car came to me with horrible sunburn and peeling clear on the exterior, but with such low miles, the door jambs and anything away from the sun was in near perfect condition.
The car was stripped, some minor dents were corrected (photos available), and it was sprayed with an epoxy primer and 2 STAGE base/clear combo - flare seals, window belt trim, windshield glass/seal were replaced as well
(Photos available from before and during paint process)

Complete and Refreshed interior
With NEW Corbeau Sport Seats - Vinyl with manual adjustments
- NEW Pioneer Head Unit with USB and Bluetooth
- NEW Pioneer 6.5” Coaxial speakers in all 4 doors
All windows/locks/sunroof/buttons/switches work!

NOTE: "D" light is intermittent (new bulb) and tach occasionally "jumps" ~200 RPM (engine speed doesn't change). A new cluster would fix this, but at the expense at showing true mileage. It's rarely noticeable, but with everything else near perfect, it's worth mentioning
AND hatch window has scratches in the tint that appear to be from a dog. I was not able to source a new rear window before I started taking it apart
AND Drivers door card has some imperfections. I’ve been trying to find a replacement, but all were in worse shape than this one

Agreed. I wouldn’t add lockers. If it is not factory locked, people are very particular about what type of lockers should be added.

Thank you all for your kind words. That's been my back and forth since the beginning of the build. I even considered sourcing factory locked axles, but then you get into replacing parts of the harness to keep it correct and it would still be K292 at the end of the day. It really is such a nice car that's just felt like all that it is missing.

After a lot of back and forth (personally and with BaT) - the listing is finished and is being scheduled to go live on Bring a Trailer. I'll update here when I have an exact listing date, and then of course when I have the link.

I appreciate all of the interest that I've gotten, and I've removed pricing everywhere in the meantime but if anyone has any questions, I'm happy to answer them!

And just like that.. it is live!

Been bidding…we’ll see how crazy it gets at the end!

We'll see - I'd love for it to go to a mudder!

Congrats on the sale! It was a wild ride!

Thanks y'all. It really is a nerve wracking thing watching that clock tick down and then shoot back up haha but I'm happy with the outcome

@Mark Miller - final mud listing price was $33,400 with quite a bit of interest actually, but no one wanted to follow through. I guess for good reason 🤷‍♂️

Selfishly, I couldn't recreate this rig for $32 or $33,4, so the I think the buyer got a solid deal lol

@dshooks congratulations on the sale!
