am I reading this correctly, it keeps a manual transmission with an EV motor?

Someone in the 40 section took two Tesla motors and built his own adapters and mounts. It connects to the stock transmission and replaces the fuel tank with a battery bank. It’s been done years ago. I think he has the files for the CNC machined parts needed. It doesn’t seem like a very difficult build and apparently he says it’s comparable in price to dropping a new LS engine in it. Battery life is the deal breaker though. This guy lives on an island so it’s not as big a deal as someone who lives in, say, Montana. But, with toyota’s new solid state batteries I’m really wondering if this is becoming a viable option for more of us.
