US and for what I know every v8 landcruiser out there is a full time 4wd other markets had other engines that had part time 4wd the transfer case on those is purely mechanical in operation so no button pressing but pulling a lever into position

What the f did I just read? Input VIN at Toyota owners website to check service records and BOOM!!! I thought they were all full-time 4wd. Is this an error on Toyota's part? What the F is going on? Also no service history so probably not going to buy it...

No I didn't. 260K miles with zero records on Toyota owners, and zero maintenance records from seller (owned 6 years with only oil changes and no major maintenance performed he said) seemed too risky for this noob.
One of those - the car is perfect, it doesn't need anything.
