Need the PN from the Japanese version of the EPC

Hey guys,
I have always had problems downloading the EPC so this thread has been great. I just called the Toyota dealership here in El Salvador and gave them :
PN 1773066010 for the 40/60/70 snorkle head aka precleaner assy air

The dealer said that that number doesn't exist.
I then gave him :

PN 1773017020 for what looks like the rectangular dome shaped precleaner assy air for the 100 series.
Per you guys and toydiy.com clearly the right numbers and again he said no number exists. I told him that these numbers were found and confirmed in the EPC for the US and AUS. He said that they use the Japanese version of the EPC here in Central America and that if I can get him the PN from that EPC he can see if they have the OEM snorkle head in stock or if they have to order it from one of their branches here in Cent Am or all the way from Japan. Anyone got access to the Japanese version of the EPC who can pull that PN and post it up. The body is already cut and the 3"SS tube for the snorkle is being bent and mounted on Monday so the head is all I'm missing
Thanks,
John

At the beginning of the EPC on Toyota DIY it asks for which market the vehicle was intended. Use the Japan option

Roscoe,
I feel like a complete boob now but it is what it is On ToyoDIY I have gone through parts reference, select a car, picked 40, 70 , 80 and 100 series vehicles in both the Japan and Other market. Each time I went to the engine section and air intake diagram and obviously no precleaner is shown. I have there after gone to search terms and put in every variation of precleaner assy, air that I can think of but again only the cleaner assy pops up. When I go to the US section and just place either part number in the search box the part number pops right up along with the description, precleaner assy, air. Clearly I'm just doing this wrong as you guys were able to locate the part number. What am I missing?:bang::bang::bang:
Thanks,
John

For the benefit of those who might search this topic in future I scored one of these today from the local dealership. Below is proof of the part number. For installation and fitment on a SS snorkel see my build thread:

I recently spent a week in Costa Rica. I saw these snorkel mounted pre-filters on most of the Toyota Coaster buses. I think 9 out of 10 Coasters have snorkels on them down there.

My previous OEM snorkel head, pictured above, was found by searching the Coaster bus parts inventory in Guatemala and having it shipped here. Sadly thieves/vandals busted it up really good when I was parked at the airport during a recent business trip. The dealer here said there wasn´t another one in Cent Am so I ended up topping my SS tube with a Safari head.

here is a pic of factory snorkle of a 79 series ... deep deep underground:D

Misico,
Welcome to Mud. Where are you from? The precleaner air assy (snorkel head) that you see above is the same one used on the 40, 60 and 70 series. The one used for the 80, 100, 200 series is much more of a dome shape. I posted a pic of it somewhere here on Mud over a year ago. If you need the precleaner head then just print out the picture from above in the thread and take it to your local Toyota dealer and order the part. Good luck.

Thanks for the prompt reply but here in Venezuela is not so easy, my car is imported and the Toyota say they do not have that original piece and I keep wondering why the car where I can find that piece and the price

John,
I understand completely what you mean about Toyota. In my case the Toyota dealership had to order the part as a special order. They are the only ones who can give you both a price put also a delivery time for the part. ( Guys forgive me but I'm gonna translate that just in case for the overseas noob)

Suerte:cheers:

Thanks guys:cheers:
