Sniper EFI on SBC - can I use the factory fuel return line? (1 Viewer)

Hi,
This might be a bit niche but he goes: I have a small block Chevy in my FJ 60 and I’m putting a sniper EFI kit on that requires an electric fuel pump and a return line to the fuel tank. My question:
Can I mount a electronic fuel pump on the feed line close to the tank and use the existing return line with the new EFI?
Any reason why that wouldn’t work?
The Sniper kit I bought comes with an in tank EFI pump that creates the return line capaciteit that would require me to remove the tank and do a whole lotta work cutting holes etc.
Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Im sure you could. I would be more keen to use what came with the kit and also have an in tank fuel pump.

Thanks - yeah it would be a neat set up. Just means removing the tank and cutting a hole in it. New ground that I was hoping to avoid but it’s probably not that much work once I build up the courage.

I have a sniper that I’m installing in my 2F this week. That’s what I had planned on doing, but lord knows I will run into some issue... what I really wanted to do is get a power surge pump and keep the factory fuel pump on the block.
