After months of work and multiple failed attempts I finally passed smog with my '77 with Toyota 2F engine. I am willing to share some things I learned if there are others out there also struggling with california emissions issues

I'm starting to purchase my '77 smog parts right now. Anything major you'd suggest out of the gates? One weird thing I ran into so far is that the pipe coming off the EGR cooler is too short and I'll have to find a longer replacement.

Does yours attach to the rear exhaust manifold horn? If so, I have one. Send me a pm.

Looks like that tube has a compression fitting so maybe the length is a little different on each vehicle. The main thing the smog techs kept saying was the system had to be exactly like the decal on the air cleaner. If yours doesn't have the decal maybe they look it up in the book? I know California is different than Federal.

@fjc-man ah awesome, thank you - I don't know off the top of my head, I'll be out to my FJ40 (store it at our family farm) tomorrow, so I can check. I'll send PM if it turns out to be attached to the rear exhaust manifold.
