I had one on my 60' when I bought it. It's laying in my back yard now...

I don't care for the style, but not a bad bumper if it's your thing.

Had that on my 60 as well.... it provides good radiator protection, but I found the horizontal part of the bars were too low and wide. Some trimming with a sawzall would do wonders for that bumper.

Thanks for your opinions. Would you have any idea if $185 is a good deal for one?

I had a similar Smittybilt on my 4Runner before I knew any better. I think I paid about $200 for it new, but that was 10 years ago. My biggest beef with the tube bumper is that it holds moisture and rots out. I see my old one around town now and then, and it is barely hanging on.

Save the $$$ for an ARB or fab one yourself.

I was looking at one on a rig in the shop the other day. Falling apart in big flakes of rust.

I remember watching the first obstacle on the Rubicon backat the First Iron Pig Round Up a couple/few years ago. There were two or three rigs in a row with nice perfect condition smittybuilt bumpers. All of them bent, dented and tweaked their bumpers on the first rock of the trail. These bumpers are only .120 wall section . Much too thin for a bumper.

I picked a used one up recently for $75. Personally, that is a max I'd pay for a tube bumper like this. Decent upgrade over my dented, stock bumper, but not something that I'd expect to hold up well during heavy off road use. $185 sounds pretty steep unless you really like the looks of these bumpers and don't plan on banging it up.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to save up for an ARB.
