Smart/Variable Voltage Alternator? (1 Viewer)

Hello , searched and couldn’t find the answer so reaching out to the group... I am in the process of installing a Redarc BCDC in my 2006 100 LC and it has an option to accommodate or not a ”smart” or variable voltage alternator. Does anyone know for certain if the 2006 LC has a “smart” alternator or not?

99.5% sure it is not a smart alternator. The alternator in the 100 series uses a simple feedback voltage to regulate the output.

Nah, our OEM alternators are stupid, just like AHC
