Small Toyota oil filter on an "F" engine??? (1 Viewer)

I have one of the new, small Toyota oil filters that I bought for my '93 FZJ80 lying around spare. I won't use the small filters on the 80 since they are just too hard to get off -- a little experience talking there

Do you think there would be any problem using the small Toyota filter on my '72 "F" engine? I'd like to use it up and be done with it.

The Toyota quick reference guide shows the 90915-YZZB5 filter fitting all spin-on Cruiser applications.

It's interesting that you don't like the small filter on a 1FZ. I find the exact opposite to be the case. The smaller filter is easier to snake in and out and it dumps a lot less oil all over the axle housing.
