What is the consensus on the sliding rear windows?
Worthwhile modifcation?
Easy to do?
Anyplace to get them besides SOR?
Happy with the ones from SOR?
I have a 60 that I'm going to be repainting and thought it would be the best time to replace them - thinking about the dog.
Thanks

I have them on my rig. The fit is not exact. The seals need some help. I ended up using clear silicone to seal them. After they were sealed I have had no leaks.

SOR's are crap compared to the OEMs, but it's hard to get a new pair of those any more.

$OR has a new improved windows now.... much better than the non-fit older ones....

I have sliders in my 80 and rarely if ever use them... the amount of money to buy a set of OEM or SOR might be better invested somewhere it would be of more benefit to the whole car. IMHO.

i love mine, probably because i don't have ac, so i can leave them open to let air air flow through

mine are aftermarket and i really use them alot, especially
when it rains as it is so humid up here without air movement
all my windows fog up. As ige stated i get great air flow too
when its warm. The only thing about the aftermarket ones
is they dont fit the same as oem. My windows fit on the inner
lip and dont fill the whole frame like oem do, so there is a little
indentation from the outer frame to where the window mount.
there in my avatar but you may not be able to get that good of
a idea, the pic is small

Where did you get yours?
Has anyone else used the "new" $OR ones?

Mine were in the truck when i bought it from the PO
I will take a look on them and see if there is a manuf.
name somewhere.

probably cr lawrence, they make sliders for just about everyone, including specter.

The SOR website says that they have used OEM sliding windows for $160/pair.
Sounds reasonable to me.

problem may be that they don't have them in stock, but wiil possibly charge you first, then tell you?

nice price if they have 'em.

OEM is the way to go but be aware of what "used" means. These are 20+ years old and need total refurbishing.

I would like to have a set myself but got a few things to take care of first. I'll be interested in what you finally decide to do.

other than the fact that these dont fit just
like the oem windows do, i am pleased.
It makes a huge difference having the
back windows that can open and push
air through the truck. and they seem
to be of a good construction too. they
definetly dont leak at all just my $.02

hope this is better than the avatar
